Franco joined our lab in 2025 as a postdoctoral researcher and works on the ERC TranSplice project.
Originally from Argentina, Franco holds a PhD in Biological Sciences with expertise in structural biology (protein NMR) and bioinformatics. He completed his doctoral training at the Institute of Molecular and Cellular Biology of Rosario (IBR) in the Biophysics of Molecular Recognition group, where he studied proteins involved in plant growth and development, focusing on the GRF transcription factor family and HYL1, a protein central to miRNA biogenesis.
Franco earned both his undergraduate and doctoral degrees at the National University of Rosario, in his hometown.
